Rebecca Vega started with the Norfolk Sheriff’s Office in September of 2014. She has over ten years of Correctional experience. Prior to working for the NSO, she worked at the Suffolk County House of Correction where she worked as an H.I.V. Coordinator, Assistant Director of Social Services and Span Inc. which spearheaded her career in Corrections.
She holds her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Mount Ida College and Master of Social Work degree from Bridgewater State University.
Rebecca is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and is fluent in Spanish.
As the Director of Programs, she oversees the planning and overall operation of inmate programs and other services including but not limited to intensive treatment services, self-help programs, volunteers, re-entry programming and religious services for all inmates and detainees housed at the House of Correction and the Pre-Release Alternative Center.
